Strengthening Market Linkages for Women Entrepreneurs!

Humanitarian Development Organisation (HDO), in collaboration with the University of Vavuniya and the Mannar Chamber, successfully organized a Marketing Dialogue at Karavan Park Hotel, Madhu Road, bringing together 6 buyers and 22 women entrepreneurs from Thalaimannar and Pesalai.

During the event, buyers assessed the quality of the dry fish products presented by the entrepreneurs and provided practical insights into the quality standards, export market requirements, and opportunities for value-added dry fish products. This interactive dialogue helped create strong market linkages and opened new pathways for export opportunities.

The Vidatha Officer and SME Development Officer also shared valuable information on the range of services and support available through their respective departments to help entrepreneurs strengthen and expand their businesses.

The programme concluded with the exchange of business contacts and the placement of formal orders, marking a significant step toward sustainable market access and business growth for the participating women entrepreneurs.

HDO remains committed to empowering local entrepreneurs by creating opportunities, strengthening value chains, and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
